London: Harry Potter actor Tom Felton has defended co-star Daniel Radcliffe, who was caught smoking pot in a party recently.

Felton is known for his role of boy wizard's arch-enemy, Draco Malfoy.

"Obviously Daniel and Emma Watson are under more pressure to keep a squeaky-clean image. When the media fabricates stories I don't think it's really fair on those poor guys," the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

"Those guys couldn't be more professional, especially Daniel, not only with the acting part but dealing with the day-to-day stuff. I look up to him.

"We've all worked together for so long. They're all lovely people.

"He did ring me last week. He's a trouper, he's doing his best. I just reassured him that the vast majority of people are on his side," he added.

Radcliffe and Felton are currently shooting scenes for the final instalment of Harry Potter films.
