Come March 1 and Zee TV’s dance reality show Dance India Dance may well be on the way to creating history at Somaya College Grounds, Ghatkopar. The show will make an attempt to enter the Guiness World Records by setting a new world record for dance by hosting the Biggest Bollywood Dance. Team DID is prepping up to assemble the largest gathering of dance fanatics to spin and twist under the same roof on the day, to dance on a Bollywood number for a minimum duration of three minutes.

Through this dancethon, DID intends to break the existing record of 1,336 people gathered at one place gyrating to a Bollywood number, which incidentally is currently held by Master Terence Lewis, mentor of DID Season 3. Excited about this endeavour, Terence says, “Records are meant to be broken. If the record stays on for too long, the challenge of surpassing your expectations vanishes in thin air. I am very happy that Zee TV has agreed to do something of this scale and have approached me to be a part of it.” Masters Remo D’Souza, Geeta Kapur and Terence will shoulder the responsibility of choreographing the event.

An insider informs that the set choreography will be put up in a video format on several online networking sites like Facebook, YouTube and DID website for people to learn it in advance. Says Remo, “This is an amazing opportunity for everyone irrespective of whether they are dancers or not.” Echoing the same thought, Geeta adds, ”I’m so happy that Zee TV has taken such an initiative. It’s open for all dance styles and to people of all ages. My preparations are on in full swing.”

Besides the three Masters and the current DID contestants, the popular anchors of the show, Jay Bhanushali and Saumya Tandon along with all ex — DID contestants, Dharmesh, Prince, Punit, Shakti, Salman, Jai Kumar Nair, Siddhesh, Mayuresh, Kruti, Alishah, Jeetumoni, Ruturaj, Vaishnavi, Atul Manoj and many others will also be present to cheer and dance along the masses as they strive to break the world record.
