Courteney Cox ‘longing’ to see a Bollywood film

Courteney Cox dazzled us with her obsessive compulsive behaviour as Monica Geller, also the mother hen of the group in the most loved American sitcom on TV — Friends — a global hit and a decade long series that became much more than just a dose of entertainment.

“Of course 10 years is a long time, but I wish we hadn’t stopped. It would have been nice to do 11,” wishes Cox as she states that she misses the show and her co-stars a lot. “I am in touch with all of them… in fact Jennifer Aniston is Coco’s (my daughter) godmother,” she adds.

Cox reveals that she has heard rave reviews of Bollywood even though she hasn’t watched one yet. “I have heard a lot about Indian Cinema and I am longing to see my first Bollywood film,” she exclaims.

The actress will be seen in her upcoming horror film Scream 4 where she shares the screen space with David Arquette (the only returning cast member in the film besides Cox), Neve Campbell, Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere.

Talking about her role in the soon-to-be-released horror flick, Cox says, “I am reprising my role as Gale Weathers, the journalist-turned author, but this time around she has a different perspective on the character. She wants her own fame and she always did; so 10 years later, when the murders started happening, she just wants to get really involved so she can write a book and become more famous.”

“It’s fun! She’s got a one track mind and I like that part of playing someone who’s so selfish. I think that it’s a different kind of journalism. It’s really about the fame for her,” she adds.

Having worked in the horror film franchise, Cox has gotten to take a liking towards it. “It is a genre that excites me a lot!”
