As German super model turned actress Claudia Ciesla seeks to make India her new home and eyes a career in Bollywood after her impressive debut in MR Shahjahan's Karma, she is getting offers not only for Hindi films but also regional languages like Bengali and Tamil.
"Besides two Bollywood offers on hand, I also have offers from Bengali, Punjabi, Mahrati and Tamil film producers. I may take a chance to do a regional film if I like the script and if my role is a challenging one," the Bollywood's latest hearthrob said.
Claudia, who did a cameo role in Karma: Crime, Passion, Reincarnation, shot mostly in Ooty, said she would love to settle in India. "I feel at home in India and I love the people of India. I love the south very much. I stayed in Ooty and in Chennai and it was great," the 22-year old said.
"At the beginning, I might settle in Mumbai especially in Juhu area because for me as a model and actress this might be a place where I can set up my working place," the blonde actress, who is also a singer, added.
Karma, which won prestigious awards at the Spain and Greece film festivals and also premiered at Cannes, is a thriller about an Austrian girl (Claudia) who is raped and murdered during her visit to India in the 1970s and how she reincarnates and comes back to the same place after 30 years.
Claudia, who played the female lead in the German-Indian Punjabi film - Ki Jana Pardes in 2008, said she liked Hinduism very much and had discussed with her friends about Hindu philosophy such as 'karma and reincarnation'.
"I love Hinduism's tolerance and peaceful thinking. I have visited many temples and prayed, which is helping me by way of hope and new energy," she said.
"I think I am very close in my way of thinking and my living philosophy to be a Hindu... and I am sure I would like to be a Hindu when I have all the knowledge about it," Claudia said.
Claudia had also played the role of a German journalist in the film 10:10, directed by Arin Paul, together with award winning star Soumitra Chatterjee and sang the title song for the movie.
Claudia carries with her an idol of Lord Ganesh which she claims has brought her good luck. "My vedic astrologer in Tamil Nadu presented me a little Ganesh figure, which I always carry and it helps me in bringing luck," she said.
The German beauty is currently helping and supporting Khushi (Kinship for Humanitarian, Social and Holistic Intervention in India).
