Charlize Theron a relationship girl!

The Hollywood hottie, though single, reveals that she won’t put feelers out there.

Charlize Theron a relationship girl!

Hollywood hottie Charlize Theron — best known for her films including Monster and North Country among others — admits that it’s not easy being in the limelight. But having taken her own roller-coaster of a personal life in stride, the single-at-present actor reveals that she’s always open to a relationship. “I’m always open to a relationship, but I’m not putting those feelers out there now.

I’m not unhappy with it, but I’m not like, ‘Oh, this is so much better than when I was in a relationship.’ I am a relationship girl. That’s kind of just how I’m made. There’s definitely something in the nature of a man and a woman that makes relationships challenging, but it was never a huge problem for me. I don’t live my life in a way that feels big. When you’re in my life, it’s actually very contained,” she shares.

The ups and downs in her personal life apart, the actor’s been on a high ever since her Oscar win. “It was life-changing,” admits the actor, talking about her decade back win as the Best Actress for her role as a serial killer in Monster. “It opened a lot of doors. But it made people have a lot of opinions about what should happen next. You realise quickly that you can never please everybody,” adds Charlize.

Gearing up currently for the release of her Ridley Scott sci-fi film Prometheus, the actor reveals that working with Ridley’s always been a dream.  “There is always that one director who’s like the dream, and Ridley was that for me. When I had bad experiences with first-time directors and I joke with the producers, ‘I wish I was working with Ridley Scott! I want to be around someone who knows what they’re doing, and who takes control.’ He was always that guy that I kind of fantasised about working with,” adds Charlize.

While the actor’s super-busy with her acting career, she’s just as involved with the social causes — from women’s rights to AIDS awareness — that she relentlessly supports. Talking about the AIDS issue that’s really close to her heart, Charlize says, “Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project is about educating children and young people about the AIDS virus and staying safe. Today, I see
children ask brave questions in sex-education classes, which is heartening.”
