Hyderabad: Children's Film Society of India (CFSI), chairperson, Nandita Das today said CFSI would soon launch a series of mini-children's movie festivals through the Doordarshan.
We also plan to showcase the children's films made in Germany through the Max Muller Bhavan, the actor-filmmaker told reporters on the sidelines of the ongoing 16th International Children's Film Festival of India here.
"We want to take lessons from Germany, Iranian and Netherlands film directors on their success stories of children's films," she said.
The art of making cost-effective films and marketing them can also be learnt from the foreign film-makers, she said.
Das favoured collective efforts by film-makers, children film enthusiasts and government agencies to push forward the agenda of popularising children's film movement in the country.
She said she aimed to prepare a new catalogue of all the 250 children's films in the CFSI library and re-work them forscreening in schools and film clubs.
To a query, Das said the CFSI is not neglecting rural or tribal children and a number of rural and tribal children from states like Orissa and various districts in AP have come to Hyderabad to watch the films.
