ShareHollywood actress Brooke Shields has revealed that she instantly made friends with Michael Jackson when she first met him because sexual tension was off the table between them.
She told Rolling Stone magazine that at the age of 13, when she first met the pop star, she was "the most celebrated virgin ever" while Jackson was trying to adjust to the scores of women who "wanted to throw themselves at [him] and feel like they were going to teach him [the sexual ropes]," China Daily reported.
Shields, best known in India for her role in The Blue Lagoon (1980), a film about teenage lovers marooned on a tropical island, a storyline that lent itself to showcasing the beautiful actress, then just 14, in the nude, said that as Jackson grew up, "the more asexual he became to me".
But the singer was also curious about the actress's early affairs. She said: "He was like a little kid who talked about the 'bases' -- what first base was, what second base was, it sounded very odd to the outside, I can imagine, but to the inside, to someone who has never really left his bubble, you can understand how he would be curious."
Shields, 44, was married to tennis star Andre Agassi from 1997 to 1999. She is now married to television writer Chris Henchy and has two daughters with him.
