Brangelina coming to India?

Hollywood’s hottest couple are set to raise the heat in the sultry Indian summer. The grapevine has it that actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will apparently be in the city for a travel magazine award event taking place in the third week of April.

Says an insider, “Since it’s a first-of-its-kind award event in India, it’s been planned on a world class scale.  Hence, the biggest celebs from Bollywood and Hollywood are on the guest list.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were the first choice as they are quite popular here. Besides, they are also known for their philanthropic work.”

The couple last visited Mumbai in 2006. “That was a short work trip as Angelina was busy shooting for the last leg of her film A Mighty Heart. Their kids Maddox, Shiloh and Zahra had also accompanied them. The couple before coming to Mumbai had been to Pune, where she had to shoot parts of the film with Indian actor Irrfan Khan.  This time, the couple intend to stay back and enjoy Indian hospitality for a longer time. Besides Mumbai, Rajasthan, Goa and Kerala are a few places that they are interested in visiting. Visiting Taj Mahal is definitely on top of their list,” adds the source. The visit became controversial when Brad’s bodyguards apparently roughed up locals who had come to have a glimpse of the Hollywood stars. Buzz was that the couple were hesitant to visit India again, following the incident.

The couple will apparently be brushing shoulders with the A-listers in Bollywood as well as industrialists and tycoons at the award event.
