Bollywood stars vie with each other for youth icon trophy

Mumbai: Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif and actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar are vying with each other to win the first ever India Youth Icon award in the field of Entertainment.

The inaugural edition of the India Youth Icon Awards, a Wizcraft initiative in association with Sahara India Media will be presented at an exclusive ceremony on September 25 in Gurgaon.

Abhinav Bindra (Shooting), Vijendra Singh (Boxing), Saina Nehwal (Badminton), MS Dhoni (Cricket), Ritwik Bhattacharya (Squash) and Pankaj Advani (Billiards) are in the race for the Sports category.

Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-chief IBN Network 18, Harinder Baweja, Editor Investigations Tehelka, Barkha Dutt, Group Editor, NDTV 24X7, Udayan Mukherjee, Indian TV news anchor and editor CNBC TV 18, Tarun Tejpal, CEO Tehelka and Sanjay Gupta, Editor Dainik Jagran are in the race for India Youth Icon for Media trophy.

India Youth Icon for Politics nominations include union ministers Sachin Pilot and Agatha Sangma, MPs Priya Dutt and Milind Deora and Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah. Other categories include Youth Icon for Technology, Arts, Entrepreneurship, Social justice and Welfare.
