The literal translation of the title of Farah Khan’s upcoming movie is smart-ass and it has actors Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar playing the lead roles. Ask Farah as to who is the biggest smart-ass on the sets and she says it is definitely Akshay.
“All of us have to be careful when Akshay is around. He troubles people by flicking their watches and stuff like that. Now if anything is missing on the sets, we first turn to Akshay,” she laughs.
Recalling one incident in particular, Farah says that Akshay once gave a technician a tube of hair removal cream telling him that it was a fairness cream. “The guy was very excited on being advised to use the cream by Akshay himself and the next day he came with a hair-free face,” says Farah.
The director, however, is quick to add that she prefers to spend her time with smart-asses instead of boring people. “I can never complain against such people because I’m Sajid Khan’s (comedian-turned-director) sister. I’ve grown up with a smart-ass!”
Gossip from the sets aside, Farah says that she is being extra-secretive for the shoot of an item song, Sheela ki jawani, in the film with Katrina displaying some sizzling salsamoves.
“Usually a number like this would be shot with at least 100 people in the vicinity. Now we have only 50 people on the set.
“All of them have to leave their bags and cell phones outside the set and everyone except my kids are being frisked thoroughly,” says
