Karan Johar on Ash refusing his next film, making it to Madame Tussaud's and of course, his fave subject -Shah Rukh Khan

The second season of his popular 'Koffee with Karan' ended last week with his favourite hero Shah Rukh Khan, pal Farah Khan and debutante Deepika Padukone. And, while Karan Johar says he will miss the chat show, he is excited about getting back to his real job of making movies.

"The show had become a huge part of my life, but it was only a hobby. I am here to make movies. I'll come back to doing the show, but not soon," he says.

Ask him why not getting Aamir and Salman Khan on his show was disappointing for him and he reveals, "I had loads of questions them. They are such interesting, talented personalities."

Of course, nothing compares to his best guest - "Shah Rukh is hysterically funny. I obviously feel very comfortable with him as he is a good friend."

Veering away from the show, it is speculated that Karan's statue may soon be put up at Madame Tussaud's wax museum. According to sources, the museum conducted a poll for an Indian personality and Karan's name is leading as of now. Reacting to this, Karan says, "I'm honoured that I am even short-listed . I truly don't think going my body of work that I deserve such a presence."

On the work front, the last buzz we heard was Aishwarya Rai walking out of his next film because she thought the role was too sexy.

He says, "Ash is a wonderful friend. The Bachchan family is like a family to me, and since she's married to Abhishek, she is family too. She did turn down the role, but not because it was a bold role. She took a decision and when she explained it to me, I totally understood her issue and I completely respect her decision. When you watch the movie, you will know why she has turned down the role. Now, it is too early to talk about it, but when you watch the film next year, you will know what I mean."
