His debut film might not have won the desired box office results, but director Aravind Kaushik’s Nam Areal Ondina managed to garner enough critical acclaim.
He’s now planning his second project, Nam Areal Inondina, but this one promises to have you talking about it for a long time to come.
“Nam Areal Inondina is going to be a technically challenging film because the story happens in real time. We will be shooting the film in two hours flat, in one single take. And the story does not restrict itself to one location. So the camera travels along with the script,” he says.
Kaushik, who is extremely excited about what just sounded like an impossibility, says that it is possible when you have a cast that has rehearsed well.
“My cast includes talented actors Ravishankar, Anish Tejeshwar, Rakshit Shetty, Dilip Raj and Raagu Shivamogga among others. Each of them is geared up to give it their best,” he says.
Actor Anish, who played the lead role in Nam Areal Ondina, says, “This is going to be unique. We will be rehearsing for 20 days, every day, before the day of the actual shoot. We’re doing a story about a bank heist and what follows the incident. The story, even though it is going to be shot in one take, will also include a song and a fight sequence.” Music director Arjun has been roped in to compose this one track.
