Antonio Banderas still fuming over wife-abuse rumour

Actor Antonio Banderas is still fuming over last years' rumours that he had hit his wife Melanie Griffith.

Griffith was diagnosed with a form of skin cancer and was operated for the same.

The surgery left her with a bruise on her face, reports The Daily Express.

However, those images sparked rumours that Griffith was a victim of domestic violence that forced the couple to release a statement, denying the allegations.

And Banderas still can't believe he was accused of abusing his wife.

"It's just that the rumour started to spread. I've never hit anyone, a man or a woman. Never. So it really bothered me," he told Hello! Magazine.
