Anil Kapoor bonds with Kevin Costner

Actor Anil Kapoor may have returned home after shooting and hobnobbing extensively with celebrities out in the West. The last we heard was how Ben Stiller was all praises for Sonam Kapoor  and called her “Hollywood material” when Kapoor showed him his daughter’s photographs. However, there’s more.

Grapevine has it that Anil’s still in touch with most Hollywood denizens after having personally invited them to visit India. And one such Hollywood star who’s in constant touch with the actor is Kevin Costner. According to a source, “The two are bonding over Costner’s ambitious project tentatively titled The White Elephant that’s been in the pipeline for some time now.” Costner, who’s known as the Untouchables actor, has to his credit some interesting films as a producer including The Bodyguard, Robin Hood: The Prince of Thieves, The Postman, JFK, Wyatt Earp.

Though Waterworld was a huge disaster and is rated as the ‘worst movie of all time’, an undaunted Kevin continues to make films that he wants and also to direct some of them. His latest film, The White Elephant is yet another such ambitious film.

Reportedly the film is set in India, and will be extensively shot here, when the project finally takes off. The source also reveals that Anil has been exchanging ideas and creatives for the film with Costner.

After the Oscar-winner Slumdog Millionaire and the hit TV series 24, whether the film will be Anil’s next brush with Hollywood, we’ll just have to wait and watch.
