Actor Amitabh Bachchan is slated to undergo stomach surgery on Saturday, the veteran star has revealed in his blog.
Following complaints of abdominal pain, the actor is being put through a battery of tests, a normal procedure prior to a surgery. The actor however, assured his fans that the surgery is “not too complicated”.
“There has been a dosage of injections intravenous that began today and shall continue for a few days… a pain in the abdomen has to be investigated tomorrow under a CT Scan and then and only then shall the ok for the surgery be given,” the actor posted on his blog yesterday.
Bachchan, who has had a medical history of stomach ailments ever since he suffered a near fatal intestinal injury while shooting for a fight scene in Coolie (1982), had undergone a similar surgery in 2005. In 2009, the actor had been admitted for a routine check-up. “My stomach which has been the bed of many complicated battles in the past, shall have to entertain this as well. It’s a war zone…” the actor added.
