Ajay Devgn’s birthday on the big day today

Actor Ajay Devgn’s turning a year older today, and it’s celebration time at the Devgn residence. In fact, with wife Kajol receiving the Padmashree this week, it’s double the fun for the family today that’ll be coming together after a gap of several days. “Yes, it’s a reunion of sorts,” says a source, “and both Ajay and Kajol can’t wait to celebrate the day with the kids.” While Ajay was away for over a month shooting for his action flick Singham first in Bangkok, then in Goa, wife Kajol would be returning from New Delhi where she had gone to receive her award from the President.

As of now the stars plan to spend the day at home together, as Ajay can’t wait to be with his family. According to a source, he’s just wrapped up a rather gruelling shoot schedule in Goa that required him to be suspended from a harness for long hours for several days. The source close to the star shared that ‘Ajay almost celebrated his return to the ground!’ and was overheard jokingly telling director Rohit Shetty that “it feels good to be back” referring to being lowered back on the ground after many hours.

A family insider reveals that though Ajay’s not much of a cake-cutting person, he plans to spend the day with his kids Nysa and Yug. “In the evening, there will be a small get-together with close friends and family as they will gear up to watch the match and cheer for Team India, followed by a dinner,” informed a source, adding that Ajay’s hoping that ‘it’ll be a celebratory dinner for the Men in Blue winning the cup.’ Ajay’s not been able to attend any of the matches considering his hectic schedules, but he’s been following the game religiously and is optimistic about India’s win tonight. As for his own innings at the BO, they’ve been rather successful too. But the real happiness, says the star comes from seeing a smile on the face of your family. “The hits can only add to that smile,” he signs off.
