Actor Vinay Rai ready to kick start

Vinay Rai is a happy man these days. The Bangalore boy who had a successful start in Kollywood with Unnale Unnale, is back again with Thillu Mullu along with our very own Sharmila Mandre. who makes her Kollywood debut with this film.

“After a long hiatus, I’m back in Kollywood,” begins the actor. Though his previous film Modhi Vilayadu with Kajal Aggarwal didn’t do well in the box-office, Vinay is upbeat about his upcoming flick.

The film is a remake of the Telugu flick Dhee, which had Vishnu and Genelia D’Souza in the lead roles. Director Madhesh of Madhurey and Chocolate fame will be directing the flick.

“I took a break for nearly a year. This will be my comeback. Sharmila, my co-star, is incredibly gorgeous. We share a great rapport and I enjoyed working with her,” he states. Talking about the movie, he says, “It’s a musical, commercial film with love, action, comedy and more! It will be my first step, in a way, into big, commercial cinema.”

And, that’s not all. Vinay has also signed a Telugu project Veele that has debutant Nisha Aggarwal as the female lead. “Veele is a fresh script which is directed by Ravi Prakash of Mantra fame. The team is incredibly young and talented and the film is more like an experimental project. I’m having a whale of a time shooting with youngsters,” says he. With plans of doing more films this year, let’s wish the actor all luck!
