Actor Abhay Deol feels the heat

One look at actor Abhay Deol’s personal or professional graph makes him stand out from the rest of the Deol clan, and it just doesn’t end with him just doing unconventional films.

If sources are to be believed Abhay’s family wants him to tread the traditional path when it comes to tying the knot. “Abhay, who’s under pressure from his immediate family to tie the knot, is feeling the heat this time. After all, most of the men in his family got married early. The Deols — Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby — are a family centric lot,” says the source. So, is Abhay going to give in?

“For the first time ever, he’s definitely thinking about on those lines. And if things go as his folks plan, he might get married in a year from now,” the source adds.

Talking about the equation between Abhay and his girlfriend, actor Preeti Desai, the source says, “They are like-minded individuals. By the time Abhay returned from his long shooting schedule of Singularity, Preeti was celebrating the praise she got for her debut flick Shor. But the two took time out, partied and were literally inseparable for the next few days. So, Preeti could be the one.” says the source.

When asked for his opinion on ‘settling down’, Abhay had previously said, “I am pretty content with the may my personal life is. I have always been like this and will continue to do so until I feel the need to get out of my comfort zone and settle down.” Abhay’s spokesperson, however, denied buzz of his impending marriage and said that the actor never conformed to pressures from society or family and this time will be no exception.
