A behind-the-scenes peek at Suneet Verma’s show for Lakmé India Fashion Week Winter Grand Finale

Just 48 hours before his collection goes on stage, Suneet Verma is a bundle of nerves. Understandably. "It’s an extremely scary time," he chortles, "actually my assistants are freaking out. They hate the last few days. I’m constantly reviewing my collection, adding things, removing them, recreating them."

The frenzy around him is palpable as he scrutinises the show with choreographer Harmeet Bajaj before dashing off to make some last minute adjustments to his accessories. Examining every little detail, he’s also taken a step back and is looking objectively at his creations.

"I can’t get too close to my designs. I need to review them to see where they are lacking and what’s needed to give them that extra twist."

Leaving him to his piles of muslin, sequins and musings all we can say is all the best!
