Aamir Khan has postponed the shooting of his film 3 Idiots for four days so that Kareena Kapoor is free to celebrate her 29th birthday — which happens to be today. Incidentally, last year, Kareena Kapoor missed out on celebrating her birthday because she was shooting for the same film in Ladakh. Aamir had then arranged for a cake to be cut on the sets of the film.
Says a source: “Aamir wants to complete the shooting of 3 Idiots on time so that the film can be released on December 25. But it suddenly struck him and Raju (Hirani, the director) that the last schedule fell on Kareena’s birthday again. So, Aamir told Raju to postpone the shoot if need be, but let Kareena off to celebrate her birthday.” Raju agreed and the venue, junior artistes and equipment booked for shooting the song were cancelled.
When contacted, Raju Hirani said, “Yes, we have postponed the shoot. It will start now from September 25 instead of September 21.”
Sources said that the last leg of shooting— which will go on till October 2 — will see the canning of the only romantic song between Aamir and Kareena in which the rest of the cast, consisting of Boman Irani, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan, are also expected to make cameo appearances.
