Aamir Khan, who has not had a formal college education in real life, finally had a taste of college life while shooting for his upcoming film 3 Idiots.

The 41-year-old actor plays an IIT student in the film, which has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani of Munnabhai fame. The movie is slated to release on December 25

"I began working as an assistant very early in my life and did not get time to go to college. But, I have enjoyed the college life on screen," Aamir told reporters at the preview of 'All is Well' song from the film.

Talking about the song, Aamir said it is after their admission to an engineering college that the three protagonists prepare for the tough life ahead.

"Everybody has problems and tensions in life and sometimes there is no solution in sight. The song speaks about the concept of providing solace to the heart that everything will be okay which is appealing," the actor said.

Aamir said his character of 'Rancho', who is a free-spirited young man, is always confused about kissing.

Sharman Joshi, who plays Raju Rastogi is always scared while Madhavan essays the character of Farhan Qureshi.

Aamir said the script was the USP of 3 Idiots. "Idiots are those who don't tread the conventional path," he said speaking about the tag line -don't be stupid, be an idiot, said the actor.

The film has been inspired by Chetan Bhagat's book 'Five Point Someone'.
