A picture with Ranbir Kapoor can make you famous

Maybe there’s some truth to actor Ranbir Kapoor wondering how he ends up getting linked to everything in skirts. The modelling fraternity, apparently, is abuzz about the fact that the newest, quickest and sure shot rise to fame is to just get photographed having dinner or chatting up Kapoor.

A male model, on condition of anonymity, says, “The girls are just waiting to bump into Ranbir. With so many of them wanting to get into films and finding it difficult to get people to talk about you, Ranbir is turning out to be a tried-and-tested formula.  The girls want their share of the pie, while the hype lasts.”

When quizzed, a female model laughs out loud, “Girls have to go through a lot more than just being photographed with a popular male star, to grab eyeballs in the film industry. So, getting linked to Ranbir seems like a safe route to fame. Would I like to get talked about for being spotted with him? Of course! Look at Nargis (Fakhri) and Angela (Jonsson). I seriously doubt if he’s a relationship with either of them.” The model also points out firang model-turned-actor phenomenon. “It’s difficult for firangs to survive in Bollywood. But with your name on so many mouths, there are bound to be producers, reality shows and even commercials wanting to cash in on your few minutes of fame,” explains the female model.

Another female model reveals, “The chicks are waiting to hound Ranbir when he turns up for an event. We sincerely hope that his Casanova image stays on.” Well, Kapoor,  don’t say you weren’t warned!
