Director Zoya Akhtar is known to not just make stylish films but the director is also known to be promoting her films in an out of the box manner. Like for her last film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, it was for the first time the entire cast took a road trip from Bombay to Delhi.

This time around, for her upcoming release too, Zoya was very keen that the promotions are done in a stylish manner, just like the film looks with the strong ensemble cast. The makers broke the stereotype when there was no trailer launch event. Instead, the cast planned special screenings for people to watch the trailer when they were flooded with requests. Zoya and Farhan planned a screening at Farhan's place post which Anil Kapoor invited everyone at home to show the trailer. Even Ritesh Sidhwani planned a combined screening with the entire cast.

Taking from their characters in the film, the entire cast was at their stylish best at all events.  Also, instead of hosting a song launch event, the team of Dil Dhadakne Do hosted a special Sunday brunch where the song was shown.  The entire cast and crew and everyone else who attended the event was dressed in summer brunch outfits and looked their best. even now, Zoya has a lot of innovative plans up her slleve which she has already conveyed to the marketing team.

Says a source, "Zoya has thoroughly enjoyed shooting the film. She wants to push the envelope even during promotions and has been sitting with the team to chalk out promotions for the film. Everything is stylish and has been tastefully planned. "
