Zindagi launches 'Maat' – The story of rivalry and jealousy between two sisters

Zindagi, the new entertainment channel is bringing to its viewers a show which was amongst one of the most loved in Pakistan written by Umera Ahmed who penned the much acclaimed characters Kashaf Murtaza and Zaroon Junaid from Zindagi Gulzar Hai. Maat traces the story of jealousy and rivalry between two sisters and how one of them manipulates and gives Maat to the other at every phase of her life. 

Aiman is a girl with the heart of gold with values that every mother would like to see in a daughter. 

Aiman believes in the fundamentals of contentment, sacrifice and compassion. She dotes on her younger sister Saman and is ready to sacrifice everything for her happiness.

Saman, with her contrasting personality is selfish and overambitious. For her, money and material comforts are more important than values and relationships. Saman has no issues in using her good looks to make it big in life. She always tries to snatch everything good that her sister has in life and ultimately she claims her right on something that is very dear to Aiman.

Maat will bring to Indian Television, two of Pakistan’s most talented actresses– the beautiful Aminah Sheikh and the vivacious Sabah Qamar.

Indian television has witnessed a number of shows on camaraderie of sisters but Maat brings out the enmity between two sisters that has never been seen before.

Will Saman's selfishness overpower Aiman's compassion, sacrifice and inherent goodness?  Will Aiman ever be able to stand up for her own self? Who faces the final Maat in life?
