After quite a wait, Zayn Malik, who now prefers to be called just 'Zayn', finally released his first solo album 'Mind of Mine' on Friday. He also released the second video from his album for the song 'BeFour' .

Zayn left the boy band One Direction when they were at the peak of their wildly successful five-year run. He left the band mid-tour without much explanation at the time. There were Twitter feuds involving other band members. Later, the real reason was revealed when Zayn talked about always feeling out of place with the band, which was put together by Simon Cowell at The X Factor.

Zayn's album comes exactly one year since the split.

'BeFour' is not catchy like 'PillowTalk' or 'Like I Would.' The tune of the song feels generic. But one thing that sets the song apart is the dig he might be taking at One Direction or his ex- fiancé Perrie Edwards.

The lyrics go -

Time for me to move up
So many hours have gone
Heart beats the pump of my blood
No strings for you to pull on
You've got your tongue in cheek
So pardon if I don't speak
Can't tune my chords into your songs

The video for the song is very laidback. Zayn is seen hanging out in a car with his mates. We see other people his age doing the exact same thing. In the end, they all come together to drink, dance and have some good 'ol Brit fish and chips. Basically, the video is 'a day in the life of Zayn Malik when he is not One Direction.'

The album is available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon Music, Deezer and, in the latest trend, Vinyl. Ooh!
