Shah Rukh Khan’s Yaana Rascala! Mind It! act in Om Shanti Om is surely creating waves in filmdom. The act, a take off on Rajnikant, has inspired Fox Star Studios so much that it has made a full-length movie based on the character called Quick Gun Murugun. Veteran telugu actor Rajendra Prasad will play this quirky character — based on the adventures of a cowboy called Quickgun — in the English film.  Quickgun Murugan is supposed to be a superhero with the grit of Clint Eastwood.

“The film is targeted at young audiences and we are exploring the possibility of building it into a franchisee brand,” says Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studios.

Same act, but a different take

Meanwhile, comedian Suresh Menon recently regaled everyone on the sets of dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Menon, who appears as a celebrity guest on the show, brought the house down with his comic capers. The stand up comedian had everybody in splits with his Yaana Rascala act.

He followed it up by mimicking Himesh Reshammiya rooting for Hard Kaur, Sunny Deol hunting for a hand pump and Sachin Tendulkar making a dig at the fate of Kolkata Knight Riders at the IPL. Juhi Chawla had no choice but to grin and bear it.

But when he spotted Baichung Bhutia he just fell at his feet. Once he gathered himself, he got Baichung to dance with him.
