Yami Gautam’s candid confessions

Amidst speculations that the same starcast of Vicky Donor might try to recreate the magic, Parineeti Chopra’s name has also been doing the rounds for Shoojit’s next. “Right now Shoojit sir is shooting for Madras Cafe with John (Abraham) and I am busy with my work commitments. Of course, I would love to work with the team that gave me a dream start  but I have not formally signed anything.” she says.

Speaking about Neeraj Pandey’s film where she is paired opposite Ali  Zafar in a cross-border love story, Yami says, “I play Asha, a bubbly Punjabi girl, based in United Kingdom. It’s a crazy romantic comedy and I had a lot of fun while shooting for it.”

When we ask whether this cross-border romance will raise eyebrows, Yami shares,
“Neeraj feels strongly on the Indo-Pak issue. We’ve had earlier films showing a cross-border romance like JP Dutta’s Refugee and Yash Chopra’s Veer Zaara. This film will be a hilarious take on the issue without trivialising it.”
