Fox-Marvel's movie 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' has topped the box office with 91 million dollars.

'X-Men' beat Warner Bros. sci-fi adventure 'Godzilla', which was ranked No. 1 last weekend and earned 31.4 million dollars in its second weekend, Fox News reported.

It is highly anticipated that the movie could earn nearly 110 million dollars over the four day extended holiday weekend, making it the fifth highest Memorial Day opener.

'Days of Future Past' is the second-highest opener in the 'X-Men' series after Brett Ratner's 'X-Men: The Last Stand' earned 123 million dollars in 2006 Memorial Day weekend.

Bryan Singer's mutant superhero movie globally opened up at No. 1 in 119 countries with 262 million dollars, which made it the highest grossing movie in the opening weekend worldwide of the 'X-Men' franchise and the biggest Fox International opening weekend ever.
