Season six of Game of Thrones made a binge-watcher out of non-believers as the ratings for the show sky rocketed. The show is nominated in several categories for Emmys this year. Nothing can spoil the fun now.

You are wrong. Because HBO on Monday announced that new season of the show will air in the summer. The American kind of course. It is three months later than the usual for the show.

Since the concluded season confirmed the Starks catchphrase 'Winter is coming', story line needs to accommodate the gloomy landscapes of such weather. According to Entertainment Weekly, showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss said, "We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘Winter is here’ — and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot."

HBO also confirmed that the next season will have 7 episodes. They will begin the shooting for the same in autumn of this year. Spain, Northern Ireland, and Iceland locations will be used to take the story forward. This means the focus will be more on White Walkers and King in the North Jon Snow.
