A big hero or a hit film, neither translates into a successful career. Luck plays a big part. A lot of girls have made it to the big screen with big hereos. While a few went on to garner a lot of success, most girls disappeared without a trace. Salman Khan is the only top star who gives the film industry new faces regularly. He does not limit himself to working with successful heroines alone. Actresses like Katrina Kaif (though she didn’t debut with him), and Sonakshi Sinha owe their success to him. Now, there’s another newbie — Daisy Shah — who will be trying her luck with a SK movie. Will she make it big? Here’s looking at the girls who stepped on the silver screen opposite him...

Daisy Shah
who was choreographer Ganesh Acharya’s assistant and back-up dancer, makes her debut opposite Salman in Jai Ho that releases on Janurary 26. Although, she has acted in a Kannada movie, she was a virtual unknown face till Salman hand picked her for his brother Sohail Khan’s film. This film will be her box-office test.

Raveena Tandon

Raveena who made her debut in Patthar Ke Phool (1991) went on to become one of the popular heroines. Though they were not cast opposite each other, she and Salman shared screen space in Andaz Apna Apna. She worked with almost every top hero in her hey days from Ajay Devgn to Akshay Kumar. Many successful movies and a National Award later (for Daman), Ravs shifted her focus to marriage. Now, Raveena juggles her TV appearances along with movie assignments.
