Ajay Devgn's 'Singham Returns' was roaring away at the box office. With more than Rs 110 crore coming in the first week itself, the Rs 150 crore mark seemed like a cakewalk.

But with Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani' slowly picking up, thanks to a good word-of-mouth, the stride of the Rohit Shetty film has been reduced to a huge extent. Compared to other big heavyweight releases like a Kick or even a Holiday, 'Singham Returns's second week collections are surprisingly low.

A film that started off on a high note could only rake in around Rs 23 crore in the second week and it might add a few more crores in the last day of its second week. The film that now stands at a total of around Rs 130 crore at the box office might just as well add around Rs 15 crore in the upcoming weeks, before it finishes its lifetime.

As of now, with 'Mardaani' doing well and Emraan Hashmi's awaited masala flick 'Raja Natwarlal' up for release this Friday, the Rs 150 crore mark looks a tad too difficult for the Ajay Devgn-Kareena Kapoor starrer.
