Why Ranbir Kapoor's won half the battle for the Sanjay Dutt biopic!

Ranbir Kapoor's gearing up for his first biopic - that on the life of Sanjay Dutt. A film that boasts of a huge ensemble - with different episodes and eras of Sanjay's life being translated on screen, the biopic is already half a battle won for Ranbir. 

Why? Here's the answer. For any biopic, the first and foremost requirement is whether the person who's playing the real-life character on screen looks at least a bit like him. There needs to be some kind of a resemblance to believe it. When the first trailer or promo of MS Dhoni - The Untold Story got out, people raved about Sushant Singh Rajput, much because he looked like Dhoni, walked like Dhoni and even behaved like him in all the frames.

Cut to Ranbir and he's already won that round, hands down. Look at the different looks of Ranbir as Dutt that have been leaked from the sets. Whether it's the '80s Dutt with long hair or the more bulked up Dutt in his later years and the recent one - Dutt right after he was out of jail as a free man, Ranbir's nailed all the three looks. And let me tell you one more thing - there are three other distinct looks Rajkumar Hirani has planned with Ranbir for the other episodes in Dutt's life, to be seen on screen. 

Social media, fans, and the industry can't stop applauding Ranbir's look from the sets that has now gone viral on the Internet. And for us, it's just another feather in the cap for the Kapoor boy.
