Why Neeraj Pandey chose Kiara Advani over Kriti Sanon and Shraddha Kapoor for MS Dhoni biopic

Neeraj Pandey is finally starting his next film. MS Dhoni- The Untold Story has been in the pipeline for quite sometime now and was earlier scheduled to release in October this year. But following numerous delays, the film will go on floors only by the end of August and the director has finally cast Kiara Advani as the heroine for his next. 

Kiara beat the likes of Shraddha Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, who were in the running for the film. But the actress who was just seen in a brief role in Fugly seemed like a perfect choice for the film. Why? It was the freshness that got her the role, sources told us. 

"It was quite challenging to find the right casting for Sakshi as people at large have seen enough of Sakshi and the comparison is very obvious. The director always wanted a young actor in the film - not someone who has done many roles and audiences have seen enough of her to form an impression or an opinion about her. He basically wanted an actor without a baggage," the source tells us. That's how Kiara came into the picture.

But more than that, it was Kiara's audition tape that blew everyone's minds. "Kiara's audition was just amazing. Her chemistry with Sushant during the auditions and rehearsals made her land the role. Kiara has been rehearsing non-stop to look and act the part," confirms the source.
