Why is Anurag Kashyap's eye bandaged?

Anurag Kashyap, avant-garde filmmaker and bulk offence supplier recently put up pictures of himself on Instgram with cryptic captions that read: “One-eyed Jack” and “Now they put a plaster, this is what happens when you get into a brawl with a MMA fighter.”

So what really happened? Did Anurag meet someone from one of his movies like Rananjay Singh "Ransa" or Sardar Khan? Did he make too many wisecracks about the Khans? Did he meet some studio executives to discuss the box office returns of Bombay Velvet? Well turns out it was none of the above but a small bet, in which he had claimed that he could get the media to print some stories. Well Anurag it's true that we do end up carrying a lot of stuff that many won't consider 'news'.

But then what is 'news'? Who defines it? Two random people hooking up might not be important for one person, but for others it's of utmost importance. But yeah, the media should definitely check stuff before putting things up. Well played, Mr Kashyap, well played.
