On his website Hilton posted " PerezHilton.com said between August 17-21, there will be no stories about the Keeping Up With the Kardashians family and even encouraged the media to be part of what he calls the "Kardashian Kleanse".
The announcement didn't make Kim Kardashian happy, who unfollowed him on Twitter and took a social-media poll, asking if is his character should be removed from her her smartphone game.
But that hasn't stopped Hilton from what he says is his much needed cleanse. He even took to Instagram to remind people who won't be featured on his site for a few days.
So what brought this on? Hollywood Reporter got a chance to interview Hilton to find out what the "Kleanse is all about" . In it he reveals, it all began when a news anchor stormed out of his segment refusing to talk about the Kardashians.

Adding to that was the excessive coverage of Kylie Jenner's birthday. From her parent's reunion, to her boyfriend Tyga, Perez reveals he just got sick of the whole thing. Kim unfollowing him after his announcemnt made the story even bigger, which Hilton thought was awsome. Perez says despite the strong reaction, it is a much-needed cleanse. He said he dosn't need to report that Kylie Jenner gets a dog. Hilton says that 99% of people that are not the Kardashian's support this decision.
Hilton plans to fill all the Kardashian space this week with inspiring stories about women from around the world. Since it wasn't officially a "Kardashian Kleanse" day yet, Hilton did dish out his opinions on Kim and her marriage and some of the Jenner members.
Hilton feels Kim's marriage to Kanye West took her and her clan to a whole other level, due to his fame and feels the marriage will take a different turn after she has her second child with West. He also feels Kylie Jenner is trying to get attention in an unhealthy way and nobody in her family seems to be helping her.
While Hilton still loves the Kardahsian family and has nothing against them, he needs this for himself and everyone could use a break from them. Hilton maybe sick of the Kardashian's but the celebrity he can't get enough off , he admits is Taylor Swift.
