Why Ali Fazal left the music release function of 'Sonali Cable'?

At the music-release function of Sonali Cable on Thursday evening the film’s leading man Ali Fazal was conspicuous by his absence.

Buzz doing the rounds of the corridors of la-la land is that after Bobby Jasoos Ali Fazal didn’t want to be a tag-on in yet another heroine-oriented saga. “I mean after Bobby, Ali has to bear with Sonali taking centrestage. Bit too much, man. No wonder he fled,” said someone who claimed to be in-the-know.

Turns out , Ali’s alleged non-appearance at the music function was all a figment of a mischievous imagination. Ali, in fact, had to leave for Allahabad in a hurry because of a family tragedy. The actor explains, “My Dadajee Mohd Fazal passed away. I had to leave for Allahabad for the last rites and burial.”
