Thw Nagarjuna-Karthi film has been the talk of the town for the past few weeks. Directed by Vamshi Padaipally, the bilingual film movie Oopiri (Telugu) / Thozha (Tamil) is the official remake of the French dramedy The Intouchables. The movie revolves around two men who are extremely diverse right from their social standing to their way of life. Nagarjuna essays the paraplegic billionaire Vikram while Karthi is the lower middle-class crook called Seenu. Tamannaah Bhatia plays the secretary to Vikram, whom Seenu has an eye on.

The latest news is that ace Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar has bought the Hindi remake rights of Oopiri. One would presume that K Jo wants to make the movie as a mainstream commercial film rather than a small budget film. Director Vamshi Padaipally has done justice to the French film remake and ideally Karan should get him to helm the film in Hindi as well. But who would be the best Bollywood stars to play Vikram and Seenu?

Vikram is a man who is mature and soft-spoken and he is also older to Seenu. But in this film, he is confined to a wheelchair. Now which Bollywood hero would agree to play this role of a paraplegic? That's a tough decision for any star to take. Nagarjuna is a big star in Telugu cinema and took a risk with this role, but it paid off for him. One of the actors who can play the role of Vikram - if he is willing to take a risk and take a break from all his action films - is Akshay Kumar. This would be a different role for him and he can really prove his acting prowess. As for Seenu's role, it has to be someone who is young, energetic and can pull off comedy very easily. Shahid Kapoor could do a good job in this role, as would Arjun Kapoor.

But the big question is whether actors who prefer doing solo hero films would be ok with a multi-starrer. Guess we will have to wait and watch whether K Jo ropes in his Dharma Production regulars or puts together a new cast.
