When Academy Awards 2017 paid tribute to Om Puri...

The 89th Oscar Awards held at Los Angeles today, paid a tribute to all the talented actors who've left for heavenly abode in recent times. It was indeed overwhelming to see that they acknowledged Bollywood actor Om Puri, who died of cardiac arrest recently, as a Hollywood actor and paid homage to him as well, along with the others.

On Sunday itself, Hollywood had to part with another great talent Bill Paxton. At the Academy Awards ceremony, a special performance was held to pay tribute to the late actors. Jennifer Anniston, who was present to announce the names of such actors, broke down into tears while speaking about Bill Paxton. Nevertheless, she composed herself and completed her speech.

It was really touching to see a still of Om Puri appearing amidst other Holllywood actors who died recently. For those uninitiated, Om Puri acted in Hollywood movies Ghost and Darkness, which are considered to be one of his best films.
