There were reports that the biopic based on the life of Indian Cricket Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni would not be made as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has raised objections. They were said to have objected to the making of the film and said that it could only be made when the skipper retired from the Indian team. Now it is learnt that the BCCI has no objections to MSD biopic. In fact, the Board says it has no interest in or concern with the film.

Speaking exclusively to this paper, Rajiv Shukla, senior member of the BCCI, said, "All the major cricketers (Dhoni included) do so many ads and endorse products. We do not interest ourselves in what the cricketers do when they are not playing cricket."

There's just one pre-condition, though, says Shukla. "It should not interfere with his matches. Beyond that, we have no say." With that imaginary hurdle cleared, the biopic is all set to take off with Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role.

Emraan Hashmi will play the lead in the film based on former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. It is reported that the film, directed by Kunal Deshmukh and produced by Ekta Kapoor, will encompass Azhar's entire life, from when he was 17 to his ascent as the captain of the Indian cricket team, and even the controversies associated with him in the later years.
