Salim Khan took to micro-blogging site Twitter to apologise for Salman Khan's rape remarks.

Salim Khan, legendary scriptwriter, has taken it upon himself to put out the fire started by his son, actor Salman Khan, for reportedly compared his gruelling film shoot to being raped. The actor created outrage when in an interview to promote his upcoming movie Sultan, he told Spotboye, "When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight. I would eat and then, head right back to training. That couldn’t stop."
Salim Khan in a series of tweets responded to the criticism saying,
Undoubtedly what Salman said is wrong, the simili, example and the context. The intention was not wrong.

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women has asked the Wanted star to issue an apology over the remarks and has give him seven days to provide an explanation.
