Sanjay Leela Bhansali is mermerized by Deepika Padukone's beauty. The day shooting for Padmavati had commenced, Sanjay was allured by the look of the actress on sets. The ace director was enchanted with Dippy's bewitching looks. The actress looked no less than the Rani herself. She was lauded by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for her breathtaking looks and commendable performance in her earlier films which were directed by the ace director!
Source says, the first day of shoot when the film went on floors, Sanjay witnessed Deepika heading towards the set as Rani Padmavati for the very first time in that look, and that was the moment when the director finally believed that his much ambitious film has kickstarted!
He was very happy and glad to see Deepika turn as Rani Padmavati and got very emotional! Deep down, he always saw Dippy playing the character of Rani Padmavati and so when his thought turned into reality, he but naturally got a little moist-eyed!
Padmavati which is an upcoming period drama is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie is a tale of one of the greatest Sultans of Hindustan and his obsessive love for the legendary queen, Padmavati, who was known for her beauty, intellect and courage. Rani Padmini, the legendary queen which is being played by Deepika in the movie is known for her prepossessing beauty.
Deepika and Sanjay mark a hatrick with Padmavati after working in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani. Sanjay was very convinced that Deepika was the only choice for this particular character and nobody else could pull of this film.
Spokesperson adds, "Deepika has started the shoot of the film and is loving every bit of it. This would be her third film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The duo share an incredible rapport and she is glad to be shooting for it."
