What is Shivani Kapur doing in London?

Rumours are rife that the model is in hospital.

Model Shivani Kapur has suddenly left for London and speculation is rife over her sudden departure. She reportedly collapsed during a party thrown by model Alison Kanuga recently. Her parents then flew her back to London.

The nature of her illness is unknown, but there are rumours that she is in hospital.  Matrix Models, the agency that handles Shivani, confirmed that the model was in London at the moment, but denied her illness. "Shivani is in London and will be back sometime in August. She has been there for over a month now to look after her ailing grandmother. There's absolutely no truth in any of the rumours. Her public image is very important to her, now more than ever," a spokesperson of the agency said.

Alison herself said that Shivani fell ill while on a shoot for designers Priya and Chintan. Alison said model-actor Upen Patel was also present then. However, when we contacted Upen, he denied any knowledge of the matter. "I am not aware of this, so I'm not going to make any comment."

The model allegedly has had problems in the past with her partying and love for living on the edge, which, self-admittedly, almost ruined her career at one point. She made a comeback to the Indian modelling scene last year with the Lakme Fashion week.
