WHAT? 'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai' actress Shilpa Shinde OUSTED from CINTAA

Television actress, Shilpa Shinde, popularly known for her role in the popular sitcom Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai was expelled from the Cine and TV Artistes's Association (CINTAA) on Monday at its Annual General Meeting. 

A point worth noting is that she had contested for the association's annual polls a few weeks back and was elected as one of the members of the executive company. Bombay Times quoted a source as saying,"Now that she has been expelled, she won't be allowed to avail any facilities that CINTAA provides its members with"

Shilpa has become controversy's favourite child in the recent times. She made an exit from Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai in February 2016, after she had accused the producer, Sanjay Kohli, of sexual harassment and also filed a case against him.Sanjay and his wife filed a criminal defamation case against Shilpa a few  days later.

Actor Sushant Singh, who is also the General secretary and spokesperson at CINTAA confirmed to the daily,"After the general body was apprised of the whole case and Shilpa was given a fair chance to present her side, the majority voted in favour of her expulsion. She did not adhere to the rules and regulations of CINTAA and constantly engaged in defamatory activities against the association  and its executive committee members. She is free to work where ever she wants to, but the association is not willing to take her responsibility." 

Shilpa was not angry or sad after being expelled from the committee. The daily also quoted her as saying,"After being selected in the committee, I was expelled overnight. So, who is afraid of whom? Having said that, I am very happy that I am no longer a part of CINTAA. They never stand by an artist or their rights. No membership means less mess."
