Recently, Sushant Singh Rajput won his first Best Actor award for MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and the  first person who came to his mind was his late mother. Sushant says, “I always remember her at every occasion. Every time I am very happy, excited, or even depressed my mother pops up in my head as she defines everything in my life.”

Besides his mother, Sushant also thanked a lot of people for his award including Barry John, Shiamak Davar, Nadira Babbar, Abhishek Kapoor and Neeraj Pandey. But the actor has already moved on from his award to his next film.

“When they called me for the first time to give me Best Debut Award, I was shooting for and could not attend. It’s a good feeling to get an award and Dhoni was a role which came very close giving my soul satisfaction as my character Manav did in Pavitra Rishta but that’s about it. Getting or not getting an award will not change my excitement and the way I go about prepping for my next film. Now I am over the film MS Dhoni. When I get an award, it’s like people saying, ‘I like your work so take this as a sovereign' and for me that’s it.”
