Watch: What's Up song from Anushka Sharma's 'Phillauri' is the ultimate wedding track!

The makers of upcoming flick Phillauri starring Anushka Sharma, Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma in the leads, have just unveiled the wedding song of the season called What's Up. It's a peppy and upbeat Punjabi wedding track which is bound to increase the fun quotient in any wedding ceremony.

The song begins with the sounds of desi dhols creating a celebratory mood right at the onset. The visuals that follow highlight the prep for a wedding and make it even more joyous. What's interesting is the way this track has been picturized and presented, beautifully blending Anushka's wedding in the past with Suraj's wedding in the present. We even get to witness Diljit's fun side in the past, where he enjoys singing and gets the celebrations going. 

Anushka's gidda moves and Diljit's bhaangda steps are in contrast to the crazy, maddening revelry of a modern day Punjabi wedding but the essence of celebration remains the same. The song places Anushka's character Shashi at the heart of both the Punjabi weddings who charms us with her presence in every frame.

Mika Singh has once again reminded us that nobody else rocks the Punjabi wedding/celebration songs better than him. Be it Mauja Hi Mauja from Jab We Met or What's Up, his energy and signature style of singing is another highlight of the song. Jasleen Royal has composed the song and also crooned it along with Mika. The lyrics by Aditya Sharma are on point and this number is surely going to make it to the sangeet playlists of this wedding season.
