As teased on Monday, following the descriptions flowing in from the screening at CinemaCon, the second trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming finally arrived online.

In the trailer, Peter Parker has to learn to be his own man and take on a nemesis. With advice and help from Tony Stark/Iron Man, support from Aunt May, Peter will have to face Vulture and save New York.

Armed with a suit designed by Stark, Peter is slinging merrily around taking on small time criminals after bringing down likes of the Winter Soldier and Ant-Man in Captain America: Civil War. Eager to join the Avengers full-time, Peter cannot wait to audition (that's what he thinks) despite Stark advising him to not do anything stupid.

Nonetheless, Peter goes ahead and finds himself tangled with Adrian Toomes — a salvage worker, cleaning up after the superheroes when they bring down big cities — turned villainous monster Vulture, who uses leftover alien tech to make advanced weapons.

There's the iconic scene of Spidey trying to piece together giant transport medium with the web tied to his hands (this time it's a ferry boat). The stunt doesn't sit well with Stark when Peter tells him he wants to be like him. Stark asks for his suit back. Peter tells him, "I am nothing without this suit." This is when the memories of Iron Man 3 come rushing back to Stark (if you recall that was the movie that made Stark realise his priorities and also gave him insecurity, which ultimately led to the events of Age of Ultron and, later, Civil War.). Sassy father figure Stark asks Parker to figure out who he is without the suit. Maybe not in as many same words, but we know the intention.

The ferry scene is nothing compared to the battle between Vulture and Spidey atop an airborne plane! Spidey is without his enhanced suit and has to steer the plane away from the densely populated Big Apple. This is homecoming for Peter Parker, a chance to shine and audition for the Avengers.

Ooh and do not miss the cameo by Captain America himself! Doing the other thing he knows best— after school specials. This time about being healthy and staying fit.

Watch the trailer:

Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr, and Marisa Tomei reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Tony Stark/Iron Man, and Aunt May. They are joined by Michael Keaton, who hung up his Batman cape to wear the Vulture jetpack and other devastating weaponry, and join MCU.

Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Donald Glover, and Tony Revolori are also seen in pivotal roles.

Directed by Jon Watts the movie is set to release on July 7.
