The veteran actress-parliamentarian had an outburst when she snapped at the paparazzi and gave them a rap on their knuckles to so speak at a recently held event on Tuesday. Jaya and husband Amitabh Bachchan were present to launch Dilip De's digital art exhibition titled, Celebration Of Love. She appeared pleased as she caught up with Shobhaa De, Dolly Thakore, Queenie Singh and Pheroza Godrej at the do. She patiently posed for the shutterbugs and also let them take some candid shots as she browsed through the artworks. So sweet of her na? There's probably a reason behind this sweetness, and we'll tell you why...

Earlier, on the very same day, the 68-year-old actress gave a sounding to probably the same set of paparazzi at Narsee Monjee's inter-collegiate annual festival, Umang. Jaya was a part of talk with around 500 students' presence and the event jumpstarted with the cameras going crazy. This sent Mrs Bachchan on a rant about lack of smart phone camera etiquette in the country, and how it's the parents and educational institution's responsibility to inculcate it amongst youngsters.

“Please stop taking pictures!” she sternly ordered into the microphone adding, “I hate it because the bulbs flash right in my eyes. These are basic manners which Indians have to learn. Just because you have a camera and a mobile, you have the freedom of taking anyone's picture any time, without asking for permission! This is basic education that all colleges, schools and parents at home should teach their children.” Jaya later announced that she wouldn't continue with the talk till the cameras stopped clicking pictures, moving her microphone aside and turning away from the audience. This made the crowd dead silent but it didn't help the chief guest mellow down, as she continued complaining, “It's very annoying. I am trying to chat here and you are sitting right in front of me clicking right into my eyes. I hate indiscipline.” This is one talk that will be remembered by all those present at the event.
