This is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2016 for the Tamil audience. Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen playing an ageing don in Pa Ranjith's Kabali, a first for the Tamil star. Bollywood actress Radhika Apte plays Rajinikanth's wife while actress Dhansika will be seen as his daughter. The movie features many Malaysian actors who play villains in this flick. Dinesh Ravi, Kalaiyarasan, Kishore and John Vijay are also in the film.
Kabali is Rajinikanth's 159th film and it is loosely based on a real-life don. This is the first time that the Superstar is playing a character close to his real-life age and that's one of the reasons why there is so much interest in this film.
The movie has been shot widely across Malaysia and Chennai. Kabali is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and has music by Santhosh Narayanan. Santhosh Narayanan has worked with Ranjith in his two previous films Attakathi and Madras.
