Watch: Simbu sings AR Rahman's 'Thalli Pogathey'

Actor Simbu is someone who is talented, but always finds himself in controversies. In 2016, the actor seems to be focusing on work, after the 'Beep Song' controversy. The makers of his film with director Gautham Menon have released a cover version of a song from Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada. The movie has music by AR Rahman and stars Simbu with actress Manjima Mohan.

The filmmakers had said that they would release the song - which is sung by Sid Sriram in the film - for Pongal as a treat for all Simbu, Gautham Menon and AR Rahman fans. Now, they seem to have changed their minds and gone with a cover version of the song sung by Simbu.

The song titled 'Thalli Pogathey' was featured in the teaser of the film and became such a hit that they decided to release it as a single for Pongal.

This is the first time Simbu has been seen anywhere after the 'Beep Song' controversy that erupted in December. A case was filed against him for using vulgar language against women in that song.
