The latest Marathi release is on its way to gross Rs 40 crore which no other Marathi film in the past has made.

Marathi film 'Sairat' has been breaking all box-office records in Marathi industry within 10 days of its release. The film is directed by Nagraj Manjule of 'Fandry' fame. It has so far grossed around Rs 40 crore and is on its way to becoming the biggest blockbusters in Marathi cinema.
While Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh and wife Genelia D'Souza praised the film to no end, joining the list is now one of the Khans to appreciate the film.
Tweeting, "I'm heartbroken, still recovering from the shock of the end," Aamir Khan urged his followers to watch the film.

The forthcoming romance film follows the story of Parshya, a low-caste man and Archie, a rich daughter of an upper caste landlord, who fall in love despite pressures from society. The film stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru and is a debut release for both the actors.
